The Simpsons

Finally, an episode that's basically a string of quote soundoffs! We take a look at our years growing up with the Simpsons, discuss our favorite episodes, examine the decline as the seasons progressed, and ask ourselves where we see The Simpsons head into the future. Dom remembers the day he stopped watching. Andy tells us how computers say his name. Amy rams her first into Fox's stomach. And Kevin passes out due to asphyxiation. It's a long episode, but we hope you enjoy it.

Where's the Sean Connery tag? I could swear I heard it somewhere in this episode...

And Dom lives up to his reputation (as in: Dom's imagination [and reputation!] is based on sexy things... See here: http://www.megatokyo.com/strip/691)

Just wanted to say that I'm not a hater. Well on the Simpsons, anyway. I hate on Fox for canceling all the good shows and continuing the ones that are past their prime. :P

  3. Good god. You really did need me on this episode :P So much mis-quoting...

    Great job guys!

I looked up the Nielsen Ratings for The Simpsons over the past several weeks and although I couldn't find viewing data by age of the viewer, the show is averaging around 3.5 for new episodes. Family Guy is consistently beating it with numbers around 4.1.

5 additional Simpsons quotes that burned their way into my brain:

Krusty: "I will personally spit in every 5th burger!"
    Homer: "I like those odds!"

Ralph: "Me fail English? That's unpossible!"

Salesman: "This baby can flash-fry a buffalo in 40 seconds."
Homer: "40 seconds? I want it NOW!"

(Marquee that reads "Yahoo Serious Film Festival")
Lisa: I know what all those words mean, but together they don't make sense!

Jacques: "Brunch. It's not quite breakfast, it's not quite lunch, but it comes with a slice of cantaloupe at the end."

Just another great episode. Keep up the (insert appropriate adjective here) work. I think I stopped watching somewhere after the twelfth season. It really did just start getting old.

I can't wait to hear the Sean Connery episode. You should do one on the Sci-Fi channel. They have the Ani-Mondays, and apparently are doing some sort of video game thing.

How can you not mention "Some enchanted evening" and watching that episode at a young age? Fun listening.

  9. Shiseki says:

I totally enjoyed this podcast with the quotes and the laughing.

Were you guys drunk when you were doing this? It's not a bad thing, it was more enjoyable really. If you were all high on laughing gas, though...

    • Dom says:

The only alcohol ever imbibed before an S-Words episode was by Chris and myself just before our Stuff segment featuring Flower. Kevin did mention after this episode that he hasn't laughed this hard without alcohol in... forever.

      • Shiseki says:

Just checking. Although now I'm wondering what you guys are like when you're intoxicated.

In any case, my idea for an something.

Spike Speigel - For cowboy bebop. I'm really interested what you guys think of the western space story..
