But the switching of people enables me to skip movies like Origins: Wolverine and Dragonball Evolution!

And Logan got his adamantium back via Apocalypse. He was the Horseman of Death for a while. It was a pretty meh series of events, a very unsatisfying arc that lamely finished The Twelve plot thread from Claremont's run decades before. I don't think anything else stuck. The only other real change was Cyclops ultimately broke up with Jean Grey because of it (he was dead; when he came back from death, he was "distant" because of the taint of Apocalypse or some *S-Word*).

Hang on a tick... Kevin! You should have known this one already. This is the arc where your beloved Skrullverine appears. He's killed by the "brainwashed old Wolverine": Death.

I have to completely agree on the need to actually have a decent Wolverine/Deadpool fight. Wonder if it'll be one of those things that are doomed to never happen. :(

You guys downplayed the Wolverine Origins comics that are currently published, but forgot to add that those comics have actually given a great outlet to writers and artists. They've had a lot of just good, solid, well done one shots that wouldn't have worked well in the main Wolverine comic, and the writers and artists wouldn't have been able to get those stories published as one shots because they just aren't that well known.

Or, at least, that's how it was the last time I was reading the series, a year ago.

Of course, my favorite for a Wolverine mashup would be a GOOD fight between Wolverine and Deadpool, not that crap fest that was in Wolverine Origins a year or so ago. I'm not sure who wrote that, but they should never be allowed near another comic again for the pure suck they made Deadpool. Though not nearly as bad as the mouthless Deadpool from the Wolverine Origins movie, nothing will, hopefully, ever reach that level of suck.

I'm surprised no one thought this up: Wolverine vs. the Decepticons AND Unicron, from current-gen Transformers. Hey, Spiderman did it.

He could come into contact with the All-Spark at some point and gain the ability to transform his Adamantium skeleton. Of course, that might not mean shit if the Decepticons already have metals stronger than Adamantium within themselves, but the power of the All-Spark would allow Logan to adapt his metallic skeletal structure's properties just as the Transformers can anyway... okay, let me stop before I think too far into this.

And since you're a fellow Chuck fan, I'll point out that Dominic Monaghan played Tyler Martin in the needlessly 3-D episode :D

If I remember right, Unlimited was set in the main Marvel universe (616), and had multiple short stories each issue. It allowed short, one-shot adventures that could help develop the characters in stories outside of the multiple-issues-long story arcs that the X-titles usually indulged in.

So this is just fyi for people, but Dominic Monoghan played Chris Bradley, aka Bolt who was apparently introduced in X-Men Unlimited #8 according to Wikipedia. I read that before the podcast and I'm actually not sure if Unlimited is set in the main Marvel Universe or not. I really don't know much about the comics as they are today. Someone else will have to answer that. But my point still stands that he, along with most of the other characters in this movie, had no sensible reason to be in it.

How about a rollerblader sequel with wolverine. It can be called Rollerblader: Weapon XTREME.

It will involve a sponsorship deal gone wrong with a clearly evil company. Rollerblades provided by this evil company are rigged with explosives as it is revealed the owner of the company is the recently released from jail (or returning from his or her secret island summer home. The rollerblader will have to jump a shark in order to free himself;f from his explosive shoes on wheels.

How does Wolverine come into it? Well He's just in the trailer. Though prior to alterations to the screen play Wolverine appeared investigating the Evil company. Why? Rumors of the company using mutants with amazingly useless mutant powers to work as slaves on the production lines had spread sending wolverine skating into action.
