Space Mountain (a look at Disneyland)

Your attention please: the Santa Fe and Disneyland passenger podcast, the S-Words Podcast - now loading on track number one for a trip around Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom. All aboard! The S-Words Podcast looks back on their childhood, and even their current childhood beneath the layers of adulthood, during a podcast about Disneyland, or really a bit about the two S-Mountains: Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. Join us for a romping good time as we smile our way through our personal stories in the Disneyland park and our ... possibly creepy fandom. Dom gets scared by the fandom in this one. It's *THAT* good. (Apologies for some background noise, people were cooking in the background.)

Background Music from this show: Swisskapolka, Battle Cry of Freedom, Happy Rag, Bearless Love, Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, Matterhorn Yodelers, The People Mover, It's a Small World, The Enchanted Tiki Room, Once Upon a Dream, All Aboard the Mine Train, The Main Street Electrical Parade, Frontierland (from Remember Dreams Come True - Original 50th Anniversary Edition), Space Mountain, Space Mountain (Current Edition)

You guys are scary. However, I was around for all the rides that no longer exist, and I may still have a not-fully-used book of tickets from back when they had the A-through-E ticket system. So nyaah.

True story. The one and only time I ever got to go to Disneyland, I was six, and my sister was four and a half. I think on some level I knew even then this would be my only chance to see everything there, so apparently, I barely blinked all day long. Next day, Mom took me to the doctor because when I woke up my eyes were bright red where they should have been white. Apparently, I had managed to sunburn my eyes. I've never heard of it happening before, nor in the thirty*mumble* years following. Wanna know how long ago this was? We had 8mm film of the trip.

      O_O

I need to remember this for the upcoming Stuff segment, this story is too amazing. Plus, I just want to know what people feel like thinking of sunburned eyes.

Wow, I wish I had listened to this earlier.

Kevin, I also used to not ride the Matterhorn as a child for the same exact reason! That yeti scared the S*** outta me as a kid! It wouldn't be until about high school when I would ride it again.
