Grounded as a United States school tradition, each one of us take a look back at our youth and rediscover some stories and personal moments that were a part of the many summer vacations. This one steps a bit back on the popular culture, though the concept does tie into many elements of popular culture (ie. Summer Movie season, Amusement parks, television reruns). My summer vacations have been fairly uneventful...
Yeah, I actually thought of this song for the show right away, but the issue is that it's just so loud and doesn't work in 80kbps mono MP3, so it had to stay in the outro.
It still made me smile and was greatly appreciated.
This was a good one. My summer vacations as a kid were not too hot. All I can remember is getting burnt and drowning, not at the same time as that would just be silly
However once I grew up it was off to the White Dwarf D&D convention in Reading (UK) with my friends to play D&D for as long as we could stay awake. Pick up any new games like Traveller and the Trillion Dollar Fleet. See how many portions of the chili we could eat. Meet loads of new people, buy fanzines and drink piss poor vending machine coffee.
Ah, those were the days.
Love Albert's voice by the way, in a totally not gay way. Sounds like a young George Takei.
I have to agree, I really enjoyed this episode when we recorded and when I edited. It's almost the ideal of what I want every episode to be, but alas, that's not always something you can replicate with a show that hasn't been recording for a while.
I have to remember this comment for reading on Stuff next week. We shall have much fun impersonating Albert's voice.
