The second season of the S-Words Podcast kicks off with a discussion of Magic: the Gathering! Dom, Albert, Andy, and Danny all talk about why we still play the original collectible card game, 17 years after the first cards were printed. From Yu-Gi-Oh! bashing to old war stories to Amy playing cards with her cat, we talk about plenty of topics for people who've never played the game before, as well as some more in-depth conversations that require some knowledge of the game.

Wohoo! Magic!
Yeah, I'm not a big fanboy, But I do find the occasional game fun. Too bad none of my cards are worth a damn, with all of them being in the new set, and only being allowed to use the new cards. ::Sigh:: Wish I hadn't sold myself out of Magic back in the late '90s. My dragon deck would completely OWN everything now, especially with the two dragon shaman cards. Plus, it would be worth about $3,000 so I could sell it and pay a few bills.
Oh, and, for Dom....
MORTAL WOMBAT!!!! ::Music starts::
I recently received a starter deck. It is a pretty fun game, but I have no way of getting new cards. I also like the deck that I have, so I have a good impression of it so far. From what you've said, the game sounds completely awesome so I may play more later.
I haven't played since I got out of college and now I have an urge to do so again. Nice Podcast guys!
Timmy/Johnny! I love how people know what this is!
Ah. I'm having a tournament at my school for field day. Seriously contemplating making a deck and participating. How do you propose to start playing? Buy a bunch of packs or an actual starter deck?
Hey guys, now as I've never played Magic most of this podcast was strange and wonderful to me but it was nice to hear you guys get back to your nerd roots
I just have one question, I hear mention of a nerd point app, now I'm not sure if it was in this podcast or the last one, or if it was just mention as a joke but if it has been made please give =D
